Olivia Ho is a Toronto-based photographer who’'s passion for photography and attention to the finest detail, allows her to produce a unique style of imagery. With camera in hand, she delivers unusual style and completely-out-of-the-box creativity. Although Olivia’'s focus is on fashion photography, she has a wide variety of experience in other genres, too, such as portraiture, product and advertisement, real estate, fine art, and events—including weddings, and other special occasions such as bar/bat mitzvahs.
In addition to being an accomplished, energetic and versatile photographer, Olivia has a special talent for working with people and communicating ideas. She has an innate talent for getting to the heart of the matter, understanding raw ideas—things that are sometimes difficult to convey—and turns them into a tasteful and palatable reality. Another aspect of the photographic sphere is adding special effects of all types, to your photographs. As such, Olivia holds professional seminars in Photoshop Techniques, and she also teaches the art of photography to up-and-coming photography aficionados.
With studies in English and a double-minor in East Asian Civilization and Philosophy from the University of Toronto under her belt, along with another belt— a second-degree one—in Shotokan karate, not to mention being a karate instructor, too, provides Olivia with both the discipline and artistic means to capture—in a flash—those elusive yet truly exquisite moments every photographer waits for. A prolific reader, she enjoys everything from Shakespeare to Emerson. So whether it’s fine art, commercial art—even martial art—Olivia applies an unwavering commitment and sense of passion in all that she does.
